Original request
It would be great if Tolaria included built-in spell checking while editing notes.
Motivation
When writing long Markdown documents, meeting notes, documentation, or knowledge bases, it's easy to introduce typos that aren't noticed until much later. A native spell checker would make Tolaria much more comfortable as a daily writing environment.
Suggested functionality
- Real-time underline of misspelled words.
- Right-click menu with spelling suggestions.
- Support multiple languages simultaneously (e.g. English + Portuguese).
- Per-vault or global custom dictionary.
- Option to ignore words for the current document or permanently.
- Ability to disable spell checking for code blocks, frontmatter, and inline code.
Thanks for all the amazing work on the project!

Thanks for the request — this is already represented by the existing Canny request for word autocomplete/correction and spelling help:
https://tolaria.canny.io/feature-requests/p/word-autocomplete-and-correction
We also have it in the product Draft queue as Todoist task

. I’m closing this duplicate so votes and discussion stay consolidated on the canonical Canny post.
