- #247 [Doc request] Migrating / using alongside obsidian — https://github.com/refactoringhq/tolaria/issues/247
Original context from GitHub:
It would be good to have some specific guidance on how to use this alongside Obsidian if there's anything special on that or if this can be done as is.
I'm coming from Obsidian with around 2,000 notes so when I open my vault here I have all of those in my inbox, which is a bit overwhelming to categorise first. Maybe some kind of import or guidance on how Tolaria could be used alongside Obsidian or is meant as a replacement for Obsidian would be good

The best way to do this now is to have it done by the AI. With the latest release we shipped Tolaria's docs directly bundled in Tolaria, so they are available to AI agents as context, for deeper understanding of how Tolaria works. This way, you can directly ask your agent to optimize your existing vault (e.g. coming from Obsidian, or from a Notion export) for Tolaria, attaching types, relationships, and views, and the agent will do a custom, white-gloves migration for you! No need for guides or templates
